Organisations that could run training for Powys adults, that will boost their skills and job prospects, are being invited to apply for a Shared Prosperity Fund (Levelling Up) Grant.

The Powys Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) Local Partnership Board has issued a fresh call for applications under its People and Skills theme, for projects starting after 1 April.

How to apply: How to Apply

The board is looking for projects that will:

  • Aid digital inclusion, by teaching essential digital skills.
  • Retraining for employees in high carbon emissions sectors.
  • Engage with young people and improve their non-technical skills.

Applications can be submitted up until the end of Sunday 3 March.

The Powys SPF Local Partnership Board is responsible for deciding how the £26.2 million in UK SPF funding allocated to the county for 2022-25 is spent.

It is supported by Powys County Council's Economic Development and Regeneration Team.

"We would like to receive more applications for projects that meet the three objectives outlined above to ensure that we are covering all aspects of the Mid Wales Regional Investment Plan," said Cllr David Selby, the council's Cabinet Member for a More Prosperous Powys and Chair of the Powys SPF Local Partnership Board.
