Redevelopment and refurbishment of Theatr Brycheiniog
Almost £7million has been secured for three projects under the Brecon and Radnorshire Strategic Town Centre Investment package.
One of the projects under this package is for the redevelopment and refurbishment of Brecon's Theatr Brycheiniog.
The redevelopment of Theatr Brycheiniog, a strategically important arts centre in the heart of Brecon, will ensure the theatre is viable and can enhance and sustain its delivery of arts, cultural and wellbeing projects to the local community and visitors.
Built alongside the canal basin in the heart of Brecon, serving both the town and the surrounding area, it is rooted firmly in the community it serves.
The building requires investment in order to ensure its longevity for residents and visitors.
The match funding element of the project, including refurbishment of the café, kitchen, bar area and foyer, is nearing completion (December 2022), funded by Arts Council of Wales (ACW), Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA), Brecon Town Council, Arnold Clark and Landmarc.
