Free School MealsIf you are on a low income, we can help you with the cost of school meals for any pupil in full time education.

Help with school uniform costsFor some families claiming free school, additional funding may be available to help with school costs such as uniforms and equipment.

Powys Family Information ServiceThe Youth and Family Information Service is a one-stop shop where parents, carers, young people and professionals can obtain a range of information for children and young people aged 0-25 years and their families.

Powys Front Door: If you have concerns around the welfare of a child or young person in your community, please don't hesitate to share your worries in confidence with a member of the Front Door team.

Student Finance WalesFinancial grants are available for students studying post-16 courses.

Tax-Free ChildcareYou can get up to £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare.

The Childcare Offer for WalesThe Childcare Offer for Wales provides up to 30 hours of government-funded early education and childcare to eligible working parents of three- and four-year-olds for 48 weeks of the year.

Universal Primary Free School MealsFree school meals are to be extended to all primary school pupils in Wales by September 2024. This will apply to the youngest children first.
