Why are we taking enforcement action?

Powys County Council are taking action against any illegal disposal of waste to help keep Powys clean and tidy.  Illegal waste disposal can be harmful to our economy and our environment and cause significant amenity, nuisance and health & safety issues.

 

What offences are we enforcing?

Our team are warranted to enforce all aspects of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, including:

  • Fly tipping
  • Littering
  • Waste 'duty of care' offences
  • Misuse of waste collection services

How long will you hold my details be on your database?

Personal information is being held on our database to help prevent and detect crime.  This is stored in line with the Data Protection Act 1998.
