Hello and welcome to Powys County Council. Thank you for your interest in working within Powys Children's Services. Powys is a great place to live, work and we are only 40 miles from some of the largest cities.

We have a great Senior Leadership Team who are committed and passionate about providing a supportive and learning culture within our service.

We are keen to recruit and retain a skilled workforce to provide high quality support and care to our children, young people, and families. We are committed to ensuring that there are opportunities for development and progression and have programmes of training, with dedicated themes of the month. We also provide reflective supervision, mapping sessions and encourage an openness to practice. Our 'Grow Our Own' social work scheme continues to be successful where we are dedicated to promoting internal growth, students are important to us, and we want to be able to offer the best learning environments possible.
