Llandrindod Wells

Powys County Council will build around 20 x 1-bedroom flats in the centre of Llandrindod Wells on the land between Temple Street and Western Promenade which has been unused for 20 years. Work has been done to make the gable wall of the adjoining grade II* listed Automobile Palace safe and initial surveys have been completed on the site, which once formed part of the garage complex (1960s extension). The project is now at the design phase with the public likely to be consulted over the plans in early 2025.

Site for new homes in Llandrindod handed over - Powys County Council
Bronllys

Powys County Council will oversee the demolition of the former Bronllys school with work starting on Monday, 1st July 2024. The building has been unoccupied since the school closed in 2017. The site of the former school building has planning permission for 17 dwellings, which was granted in 2021. However, the development is pending on the outcome of on a village green application which is under consideration as part of a formal process.
