Clos Caebitra, Sarn, Newtown
The completion of Clos Caebitra housing development marks a significant achievement in advancing sustainable and affordable housing in Sarn, a small village located 6.4 miles east of Newtown. This mixed development, built to Passivhaus standards, includes four two-bedroom bungalows, two two-bedroom houses, and one three-bedroom house. Passivhaus is a proven approach that delivers net-zero-ready buildings optimized for a decarbonized grid, enhancing occupant health and wellbeing. These buildings provide a high level of comfort while using minimal energy for heating and cooling.
The success of this project is underscored by its recognition at the Constructing Excellence in Wales Awards, where it was highly commended as the Residential Property of the Year 2022 for Passivhaus social housing for Powys County Council.
As we celebrate the completion of Clos Caebitra, we look forward to seeing this development thrive as a model of sustainable living in Sarn. We are confident that these new homes will offer a safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient environment for all residents. Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to fruition.
