Aim
- This course will explore the umbrella term Harmful Sexual Behaviours and the continuum of behaviours which it includes. The course will consider responses across a range of preventative, protective and recovery response pathways based on best practice.
Key Learning Outcomes
The main learning objectives of the course are as follows:
- Understand what is meant by harmful sexual behaviours
- Why some children exhibit harmful sexual behaviours
- Understand the continuum harmful sexual behaviours exhibited by children both online and offline
- Assessing need using tools - brook traffic light tool
- To explore the pathways to support for harmful sexual behaviours - prevention, protection and recovery pathways.
- Underpinning guidance - WSP and practice guide, research, CPR's and NICE guidance.
