What will registering with Powys County Council cost?

Registering with us is free. There are no hidden charges or costs that will be added to your bill, which will consist of costs incurred from the national DBS and our administration fee. The costs of conducting your DBS checks with Powys County Council are outlined below.

• Enhanced: £38 plus £12.50 admin fee
• Standard: £18 plus £12.50 admin fee
• Basic: £18 plus £12.50 admin fee
• Adult first: £6, no admin fee
• Volunteer: no charge, £12.50 admin fee
• External ID: £2, no admin fee 

VAT is payable on top of the admin fee. If you intend to process large numbers of DBS Checks per annum you need to contact the DBS Unit in order to negotiate the admin fee.
